LOVINA INTRODUCTION

Lovina,
or rather Lovina Beach, is the collective name
for a ca. 12 km long beach area situated at the north coast
of Bali, directly west of the former colonial capital of Bali,
the pittoresk market town Singaraja. These are the beaches of
the coastal villages of Pemaron, Tukadmungga, Anturan, Kalibukbuk,
Kaliasem and Temukus. |

Hidden
behind the mountains of northern Bali at a distance of 90
km from the airport, Lovina Beach is within easy reach of most of
Bali's cultural, traditional and natural highlights.
Away
from mass tourism, Lovina is a safe haven of tranquility
especially popular among culture and nature lovers. Lovina's traditional,
rural surroundings of fishing, farming, forests and plantations, mountains
and lakes guarantee for relaxing holidays.
Beaches

The Beaches
of Lovina are characterized by its rural nature and
its unique, dark colored sand of volcanic origin. The child friendly,
shallow water of Lovina's reef protected beaches is of an agreeable
warm temperature troughout the year, which makes it very suitable
for family holidays with unconcerned swimming and snorkeling.
Facilities
at Lovina
Lovina, a popular
holiday destination for many Europeans and having a vast community
of (semi-)permanent European expatriats, has several good doctors
with a very good reputation and a number of chemistries
offering 24h service, with good and reliable medicines. There are
several good clinics and in the nearby city of Singaraja
are some large hospitals.
In the center
of Lovina there is an ATM suitable for all bank cards.
In Singaraja you will find a dozen of banks and the
main postoffice.
Lovina furthermore
has many internet-cafes,
'wartels' where you can make phone calls, several
moneychangers, and a variety of good and reliable
restaurants with national and international cuisines.
There is enough
opportunity for shopping, several drugstores,
and ofcourse you will find, especially in the mornings, traditional
markets in the villages of Lovina.
There are several

and massage, and there are some centers
for yoga and meditatiom in the Lovina
area.
